Super Mario World was never designed for two players at once — but that's exactly what this hack fixes. The Super Mario World 2 Player Simultaneous Co-op Hack brings Mario and Luigi onto the screen at the same time, letting two players explore Dinosaur Land together in real-time co-op, the way New Super Mario Bros. Wii would later make mainstream.

The co-op patch was originally created by Noobish Noobsicle — a technical achievement that required deep ASM work to make two simultaneous players possible on SNES hardware. Bloony Fox and NesDraug took that foundation and built a complete hack out of it: redesigned and extended levels built specifically around two-player co-op gameplay, with custom graphics throughout and stages restructured to make the two-player experience feel intentional rather than bolted-on.

The result is something Nintendo never gave us — Super Mario World as a proper two-player co-op experience on real SNES hardware.
