The chaos continues. Pokémon: Too Many Types 2 is the official sequel ROM hack of Pokémon Emerald, once again commissioned by Alpharad and developed by Kobazco, MarinePez, and CannonsCreative. Two years after the events of the first game, Hoenn has changed — the Kyogre and Groudon disaster has reshaped the region, a new villainous team has emerged, and the type system has grown even more unhinged than before.

Where the original had 62 types, the sequel pushes the total to 80 — adding 30 brand-new types exclusive to this entry. Pokémon still support up to three types, and the sequel introduces 17 new Mega Evolutions and 131 new moves to shake up battles even further. A suite of quality-of-life improvements — DexNav, soft level caps, level scaling, no EVs, auto-heal shortcut, and in-battle enemy info — makes this the most polished entry in the series.
