Castlevania comes to Game Boy Color in a brand-new homebrew adventure. Created by Elvies and based on the 2007 Konami mobile game Castlevania: Order of Shadows, Golden Belmont is an original GBC title built from scratch — not a port, not a hack, but a fully independent Castlevania game designed and coded for real Game Boy Color hardware, running on the same hardware that brought us Belmont's Revenge and Legends.

The late 17th century. A cult known as The Order has infiltrated Dracula's castle with a single goal: resurrect the Dark Lord himself. Desmond Belmont, the latest heir to the vampire-hunting bloodline, sets out with his two sisters Zoe and Dolores to stop them — armed with the sacred whip and a full arsenal of sub-weapons. This is a side story to the official Castlevania timeline, positioned as a companion to the events of the mainline series without disrupting its canon.

Golden Belmont offers two complete, separate playable modes with distinct mechanics. Desmond Mode is the primary campaign — a classic Castlevania action-platformer with whip combat, throwing axes, holy water, cross sub-weapons and exploration across Dracula's castle. Sister Mode is an entirely separate experience unlockable via Konami Code from the title screen, featuring Desmond's sisters as playable characters with their own mechanics, including a character-switching system, a companion bunny with attack capabilities and dove sub-weapons that restore HP on hit. Both modes have been actively rebalanced across multiple updates, with each boss and enemy HP value tuned individually.

Multilanguage support is built in: English, Spanish, French and Tagalog are all selectable from the title screen. An accessibility chair option lets you adjust music style between classic and modern tracks.
